Player Positional Eligibility

Q: How is player positional eligibility determined?

A: We are excited to announce that we now have clear, logical, defined criteria when awarding new positional eligibility that allows us to have the most transparent eligibility process industry-wide.

During the offseason, we will award what is considered our "base" positional eligibility. Most players will have previous season's usage considered while team depth charts will be used for rookies.

When it comes to adding NEW eligibility, players must meet the following criteria:

37% SF and 60% PF makes this player eligible for both positions.
  • In the offseason, the player's most recently played season will be used.

  • After opening night, the current season will be used. The player must have a minimum of 12 total games played on the season so that there is a decent sample size.

Q: Can I submit a request for eligibility to be added?

A: If you have a player you believe meets the criteria for additional eligibility, please send a ticket into support or an email directly to support@downtownfantasysports.com with the player name and other relevant information.

Q: Can eligibility be awarded using another fantasy platform as the reasoning?

A: We only award positional eligibility based on the defined criteria, and will not consider eligibility on other platforms as reason enough to award additional eligibility.

Q: How often does eligibility get removed?

A: Eligibility may be removed in the offseason as we update, but players will not lose eligibility while in-season.
